Commissions

The following are examples of some cards I have been commissioned to create.

Party Invitations:

This was a wonderful job and my first corporate commission.  Party invitations for both ladies and gentlemen.  The ladies received a handbag-shaped card with a cut-out design and diamantes on the front flap.  The gentlemen received a tuxedo-shaped card complete with pocket handkerchief and boutonniere.

Ruby Wedding Anniversary:
This was a lovely little card I was asked to make to celebrate a Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Made on white linen card, dry embossed and embellished with diamantes and two cut out hearts on fabric paper.

Not as intricate as the other commissions, but quite elegant and effective in its own way.

Retirement Card:

This was a  card commissioned by someone whose work colleague was due for retirement. The gentleman in question was very traditional and didn’t have any hobbies, so we went with burgundy leather-look card and an old-fashioned clock..with no hands.

Graduation Card:

This was a card commission for an art student who was graduating from University. She was a very individual person with a lot of personality and a unique fashion sense.

I used black and silver mirror card as a base and trimmed a corset template with velvet, fringed ribbon, silver trim for the boning and highlighted the corset with a heart-shaped diamante.

Birthday Card:

An unusual card for a Twilight fan…yes I jumped on the bandwagon.

This type of card can be adapted for a new baby, a special birthday….the sky’s the limit.
